Research Notes

I believe that she was married to her third husband Hendrik Lourense Janse van Vuuren even though she is not specifically listed on his Probate record as his wife. His Probate record does list a Christina Gesiena van Biljon, weduwee Janse van Vuuren, at the bottom and two of the children listed as having been brought up in the marriage do correspond with two of her own children, which points to the fact that she was married to him.[11] However, her probate record makes no mention of him and lists her as the widow of Hans Jurgen Steyn. This new information casts doubt on my previous statement regarding possible marriage to Hendrik Lourens Janse van Vuuren.[12]

Van Biljon-160 and Van Biljon-52 appear to represent the same person because: Same person, same parents. She was first married to Roedolf Jacobes Laubscher who passed away before circa 1825, then married Hans Jurgen Steyn

The merge of the seemingly duplicate spouse profiles Hans Jurgen, Jurgens Steyn-175 and Hans Jurgen Steyn has been rejected because not only do they have different dates of birth and death (which makes them different people) but they have clearly conflicting parent profiles: (father) Johannes Steyn (Steyn-32) b. 03 Feb 1765 d. 16 Apr 1836 and Hans Steyn (Steyn-29) b. 21 Feb 1740 d. 1803; (mother) Anna Steyn (Van Vuuren-436) b. 04 Nov 1775 d. 1820 and Cornelia Geertrúij Steyn (Kúen-7) b. 27 Jan 1760.

This conflation has come about because of a merge that I approved and executed between two two seemingly duplicate spouse profiles (Merged Van Biljon-17 into van Biljon-160).
